Working with Barbara over the past year has been the best thing that I have ever done for my health, fitness and general well-being.
After having 3 children, years of yo-yo dieting and intermittent exercise, I was not particularly overweight but I was not happy with my body shape. Although I was not convinced that working out with a personal trainer would be able to change this, Barbara was recommended by a friend so I thought I would give it a go.
After my initial assessment, Barbara and I agreed some goals. After a relatively short time, I am amazed that I can now run 10k in under 60 minutes, do more sit-ups than I ever imagined and lift weights that I never thought possible. I have also lost about 8kg and am a size 10 for the first time since my 20s. After training with Barbara, I wouldn’t consider working with anyone else.
Barbara is such a great motivator and even during the harshest winter on record, she was able to conduct our sessions with energy, enthusiasm and good humour, she clearly loves what she does! Anyone who can get clients out training in deep snow and sub-zero temperatures must be pretty fantastic!
I can honestly say that I owe my success to Barbara’s encouragement, motivation and friend-ship, I think she is just fabulous!!
If you too are thinking of training with a professional, I think that you may just have found her!

I am so pleased I found you..........I never ever believed in a million years I would run 5k in my first session........having never run more than a 100 yards without nearly keeling over. However due to your very thorough assessment of me, your amazing experience and your motivating manner, I totally trusted in you when you said I could do it, that the only thing that would stop me, would be me, not my ability. I know its only been a couple of weeks but I love our sessions and I am so so so chuffed with myself and its all down to you and your incredible fun style, experience and belief! And even more surprising is that I was motivated to go out on my own at 8.20 at night after a full on day and run 5k in the rain..........someone pinch me.
